Simply put, AdSense is not the only way to earn money online.  The self-proclaimed Dot Com Mogul John Chow published a break down of his monthly Internet income in April 2007.

  1. ReviewMe: $4,500.00
  2. Affiliate Sales: $2,150.00
  3. Text Link Ads: $1,352.81
  4. Direct Ad Sales: $1,200.00
  5. Google AdSese: $1,077.67
  6. Kontera: $1,000.00
  7. FeedBurner: $271.44
  8. TTZ Media: $150.74
  • Grand Total: $11,702.66

AdSense is at No. 5, only $1,077.67 out of total $11,702.66 (less than 10%).  You can read his complete pose here.
